Our approach
Our Nurseries are using less plastic ‘toys’ and more natural resources and ‘real’ authentic items to create beautiful environments, which will inspire children’s curiosity to play.
Young children are drawn to beautiful, delicate, authentic resources and we plan to create small enchanted pockets of learning for the children to seek and explore.
Working in partnership with parents
At Cornerstone, we use ‘Tapestry’, an online learning journal which parents have access to, the journal shows individual observations, photographs and snapshots of your child’s time with us. Parent feedback is that they love being able to log on and see their child having fun at nursery.
We’re keen to involve parents in all aspects of nursery life, with this in mind we regularly invite parents to become involved in many aspects of nursery life. We would like our parents to be involved in nursery activities, social events and fun days, to give regular feedback and input on policies and procedures and other activities.
‘Club Cornerstone’ is a reward scheme for our nursery parents which gives you access to discounted rates on anything from gym memberships to cookery classes. The perk card we will give you also allows you great discounts at ‘Playdays Indoor Play Centre’ & restaurant. More information is given on these great deals, upon starting with us.
We have a private closed Facebook group for each of our settings where you will be able to see regular updates on events and activities at each site.

Reducing the Cost of Childcare
At Cornerstone Nurseries we know that childcare is often expensive, therefore we try to make sure we are competitively priced while still being a high quality childcare provider in Basingstoke. Please contact our nurseries for our current fees.

Funding

Healthy Eating
Research has proven that promoting healthy eating habits at a young age is of great importance. Our nurseries have professional on site kitchens with dedicated chefs who plan our menus with this in mind and also cater for children with allergies and intolerance’s.
We happily discuss weaning options with all parents individually to ensure a tailored approach for your child.
Cornerstone Nurseries offer a nutritious breakfast, healthy snack, hot cooked lunch with pudding and high tea during a full day of care. Our menus are healthy and varied, offering a wide range of dishes from around the world.
